Status:  New Life!

Thanks to the "new and improved restructuring" of the company I work for - I now have a brain numbing career.  'Tis a blessing though.  As of today I have officially started writing the book I've been putting off for years. 

What does this mean to you?  No more blogs from yours truly.  It's all going into the book.  The good, the bad, and the best part.... the disturbing.  Wish me well or curse the day you met me.

Status:  The Lanscape Is Changing

I love wine and learned late in life to hold the wine glass by the stem instead of the bowl so the heat from my hand would not compromise the integrity of the wine. 
Does this still apply to the $2.99 bottle of Oakleaf Merlot I bought from Walmart today?

Status:  Listening to the new Remix Album

Q&A - What are you hiding?

Answer- I still love old rap, dance, hip hop, and r&b, even if the band(s) cease to exist.  
I adore, still - Beastie Boys, NWA, Method Man, Public Enemy, Jodeci, BBD, RUN DMC, Dre, 2 Live Crew, Snoop, R Kelly, K7, Warren G, Fat Boys, Midnght Star, AMG, Grandmaster Flash, Al B Sure, EPMD, Too Short, MC Shy D, UTFO, LL Cool J, K Solo, DAS EFX, Big Daddy Kane, Sir Mix A Lot, Father MC, Whodini, Shia, MC Hammer (1st album only).  And...this is off the top of my head.  I also did have a thing for Marky Mark in the 90's.

     

In retrospect, my personality has not changed much in the 19+years since these pics were taken.  I'll think about that tomorrow.

Status:  Watching "Archer" (You should too, it's on FX in the USA)

Am I the only one that refuses to listen to the "pre-released" and/or "bootlegged" tracks from the unreleased remix album?  
I prefer to wait and listen to the whole album start to finish as it was intended.

With that said...I thank you Depeche Mode for allowing a remix of my favorite song ever..  THE SUN AND THE RAINFALL.    I love it and just wish it replaced Tora Tora Tora on the album for the masses to hear.

Status:  Damn I got Charlie Sheened!

After a glass of wine or two, I decided to buy a ticket to his tour.  I got the receipt today and oops - bought the pricey "Meet and Greet" package.  Probably on purpose since I'm a total narcissist (we have that in common).

"Two trailer park girls go 'round the outside, 'round the outside......."

Oh, sorry Charlie, but we've heard the same "Without Me" story by Eminem.

Still- I've been a CS fan since "The Boys Next Door" (which I still own on VHS). 

But let's disect this, I just paid serious money to meet Charlie Sheen. 
Now who's the whore?  And we smooched which makes it....worse?  better?  I give up.

Status:  It Feels Like Chistmas Morning!

I just opened a random box in the back of my spare closet while cleaning, and found my 2007 DVD copy of SUPERBAD.   

Furthermore, I can guarantee you a pre-requiste for film school in 2060 will be...CANNIBAL!  THE MUSICAL."  (circa 2001).

Lastly, I'M A FAMOUS DEPECHE MODE FAN.   Says the internet.
